From INS Vikrant to BrahMos: Every Weapon Was Primed for Combat

National News: When the terrorist attack in Pahalgam shook the country, India responded – but not quietly, but with well-planned aggression. "Operation Sindoor" was such a display of India's power not only in the air and on land but also on the sea waves that it sent shivers down the spine of Pakistan. The role of the Indian Navy in this operation was like that of a silent killer – which is less visible, but strikes with such precision that the enemy cannot even recover.

'Silent Blitz' in the Arabian Sea

Within 96 hours of planning Operation Sindoor, the entire Western Fleet of the Indian Navy was deployed in the Arabian Sea. Missile destroyers, frigates, submarines, P-8I aircraft, and aircraft carriers like INS Vikrant were deployed to surround the enemy. Pakistan began to fear that if India attacked, its port would be wiped out.

Karachi was made the potential target

Vice Admiral A.N. Pramod revealed that the Indian Navy was fully prepared to target several important targets including Karachi. Through live testing of Surface-to-Surface and Surface-to-Air missiles, India had signaled to Pakistan - "If you do anything, we will decide your end."

From Brahmos to Barak, every weapon on standby

On April 26, the Navy tested several missiles including Brahmos - in a completely war-like environment. The data, communication and sensors of every ship were linked to each other, creating a composite combat unit. Even the torpedoes installed in the submarine were ready for launch - which could destroy the enemy's submarine and port in one stroke.

What is the status of the Pakistan Navy?

India has:

  • 2 aircraft carriers
  • 14 destroyers
  • 40 naval fighter aircraft
  • 12 P-8I surveillance aircraft
  • State-of-the-art frigates and submarines
  • Pakistan has:
  • 8 frigates (4 of which are from China)
  • 0 destroyers
  • 0 naval fighter aircraft
  • Only a few patrol boats and 5-6 submarines

The outcome of the war was decided in the sea itself

The strategy of the Indian Navy was so strong that the Pakistani Navy could not come out of its own ports. They were afraid that once they came out, they would not be able to return. On top of that, the Indian Air Force had already disabled their aircraft.

Operation Sindoor made one thing clearIndia no longer just responds, but before responding, strategically surrounds the prey, scares it and then finishes it off in one stroke. And in this game, the role of the Indian Navy is exactly that of a warrior who silently lays the foundation of victory.
